The past few months have been crazy with book releases. One after another, until I could barely keep up with my promotional posts. I finally have a bit of a break, so instead I want to let you know about everything else I've been working on. Editing: I can't believe how much editing I've gotten done. We're well past the halfway mark for getting all my books re-released, and we're also finally getting to some of my older stories. As you saw last month, Finding the Wolf, my OG book, was re-released. We've also started working on the edits for Breaking the Shackles, book two in The Dragon's Hoard series. One of my other early series, Road To, is also in the editing process. Road to Revenge is almost ready for a July release and I expect to start working on the second book's edits soon as well. Don't worry, my editor and I have been working on some of my newer stuff too. We've made a lot of progress editing Ground of Insurrection, so that will be ready for release in August. That also means the book I know a lot of you have been waiting for, Ground of Resurrection, has also started the editing process. I am almost done with the first round! (For those of you who remember, Resurrection was supposed to come out the day before LT3 closed, so readers have been forced to wait an extra two years to get their copy.) Writing: I'm still writing, but not the books I need to be focusing on. I have finally come up with a series title for the circle stories I've been working on. I'm going to be blatant and call it the Witch's Circle Series. I submitted Book One, which I've decided to title Coven, to NSP. I hope to hear yea or nay soon. Book Two, which I've tentatively titled Hunter, still needs to be edited one last time, but it's close to being complete. I was working on what I thought was the epilogue for Book Three, tentatively titled Witch or Wolf (I haven't decided which yet), but it's gotten so long I think I'm going to make it another chapter instead. This means I still have to finish the final chapter and write the epilogue, but the story is turning out really good, so I'm excited to be finished with the trilogy. Similarly to many of you, I love rewritten fairy tales. (Hence why A Little Fairy Dust exists.) I recently came up with an idea for two more stories, and have decided to therefore start a brand new anthology. The first story is a Beauty and the Beast rewrite set in the same world as Red Apple Witch. I have the basic idea fleshed out, but I haven't figured out the villain yet so this story is still in the planning stages. The other will be the title novel for the anthology, called Shiver and Quiver, My Little Tree. Although I wrote a number of Cinderella stories in Fairy Dust, they were all based on Perrault's version of the story. This one will be loosely based on The Brothers Grimm version instead. I'm a third of the way through and loving it so far. That said, A Little Fairy Dust took me five years to write and two of the stories were reprints. It will definitely be a while until you see the final product. What about Dragon Spy, you ask? I haven't written anything more just yet, but it is definitely next on my to-do list. Hopefully I'll get to it soon!

Finding the Wolf
6/13/21
I mentioned this in the cover reveal for Finding the Wolf, but this story is literally the start of my writing career. Finding the Wolf is the first story I ever finished writing, the first story I submitted to a publisher, my first accepted manuscript, and my first published book. If you've ever wondered why I became known for my dragons, magic, and romance, this book, and this series, is it. Finding the Wolf started as a faint idea of a dragon who had a lovely hoard, but who realizes after he meets a strange prince that perhaps there is more to hoarding than just gems and precious metals. The plot bloomed from there, into a society ruled by hoard law, and how humans, dragons, and other magical creatures fit their species' needs into that requirement. And then my dragon Nyle came along, innocent of how the human world works and sent on a quest to a place he doesn't understand to find a missing prince. Finding the Wolf will always have a special place in my heart, which is why I'm incredibly excited it is being re-released tomorrow. You can get your e-copy now at NSP, and it will be available at most major retailers in just a few short hours.

It's been a while since I've written a blog post that wasn't just to promote an upcoming release. The last few weeks have been focused exclusively on If A Butterfly Don't Fly and on Wounded Alpha. Now that those two books are out (and readers are loving them!), I can return to telling you about edits and about writing. My editor and I are really chugging along! Over the last few weeks we've completed the first round of edits for Road to Revenge, my contemporary crime thriller. Road to Revenge is one of my earliest books, but I am really enjoying the opportunity to shine it up for everyone. I don't write contemporary often, but this particular series is definitely one of my faves. Road to Revenge is slated to come out this June! We have also started the first round of edits for Elemental Ride, my quirky urban fantasy short story about a guy, his bike, and his rather unusual mailman. Elemental Ride is scheduled to re-release this July. We're also still making a ton of progress on the rest of books coming out in the next few months. We completed the second round of edits for Finding the Wolf, and both The Coup and the Prince and Justified are completely ready to go. In fact, Justified is available for pre-order at NSP right now. If you buy through NSP, you'll get your e-copy three days earlier than the May 3rd release date. I have also somehow fit a lot of writing into my schedule. The third (and right now final) book in my Witch's Circle stories is almost done. I am currently setting up the final battle, and once that's written all that's left is to wrap up the book. I admit I'm a bit surprised at how smoothly this series has gone, but I'm very hopeful as soon as I get it completely written I'll be able to focus on some of the books patiently waiting on my to-do list. 3/21/21
Readers who have been with me from the very earliest days of my writing know my Dragon's Hoard series. Finding the Wolf, book one, was my first ever accepted manuscript, and Tori, the main character from Stealing the Dragon, book three, captured hearts. I have had some readers who remember the series and I've had readers who have only recently discovered my books ask when the Dragon's Hoard will be republished. I am happy to say the first round of edits for Finding the Wolf are completed! Finding the Wolf is slated to be republished with NSP in June, so you won't have to wait much longer for my very first set of happy dragons to fly back into your arms. There have been a few other things going on with my writing over the last few days:
Passover starts next weekend, so I probably won't be able to put up a blog post like usual. I'll still do my best to keep you all in the loop if anything fun happens, though! 7/1/17
